DETT TexPro: Building a Bedding Catalog Buyers Can Actually Specify

We signed a website development agreement with Dongguan DETT TexPro Co., Ltd., a bedding manufacturer and exporter in Dongguan, Guangdong, to rebuild its English website for OEM and ODM buyers. The brief was narrow and practical: make a 500-SKU bedding catalog readable by a hotel procurement manager in fifteen minutes.

Who the client is

DETT TexPro was founded in 2009 and produces bed linen sets, pillowcases, fitted sheets and duvet covers from an in-house factory in Dongguan. The company works with cotton, microfiber, linen and blended fabrics, serves hotels, retailers, wholesalers and e-commerce brands, and ships to more than 50 countries. Its production model is design, manufacturing and export under one roof, with 100% inspection before every shipment.

Where the old site lost buyers

The previous site presented bedding as a photo wall. A buyer landing from a search for "custom fitted sheets supplier" saw dozens of lifestyle images with no thread count, no fabric composition, no minimum order quantity and no way to compare two products side by side. Product pages buried the one thing a hotel buyer needs first — whether the supplier can hit a specific size, fabric weight and packing format — under marketing copy about comfort and softness.

Structure: category, then specification

We rebuilt the catalog around four product families that match how buyers actually search: bed linen sets, pillowcases, fitted sheets and duvet covers. Each family page opens with a comparison table covering fabric options, thread count range, available sizes and customization scope. Individual product pages keep the full specification inline instead of hiding it in a downloadable PDF, so a purchasing manager can read dimensions and fabric weight without leaving the page.

Designed for hotel and retail buyers

Two buyer types drive this category, and the site now speaks to both. Hotel procurement teams look for contract-grade durability, wash resistance and consistent sizing; retail and e-commerce brands look for private label, custom packaging and pattern development. We added dedicated application pages for each, with the QC process — fabric inspection, stitching checks, 100% pre-shipment inspection — laid out as a sequence rather than a claim, because a buyer who cannot visit the factory needs the process to be legible.

Built to be found on Google

Every product family and application page has its own title, description and clean URL, with product structured data in the markup. We compressed the product photography for mobile networks, generated an XML sitemap, and kept the inquiry form short: product type, quantity, target market and fabric preference. Those four fields are what a sales team needs before it can quote, and they are also what turns a browsing visitor into a usable lead.

What changed

The site now works as a specification tool as much as a brochure. A buyer can compare fabric options across product families, confirm that custom sizing and private labeling are available, and send an inquiry that already contains the parameters the factory needs. For DETT's export team, one product link replaces a folder of attachments in the first reply — and the reply itself now starts from a shared understanding of the specification.

For any OEM bedding exporter, the lesson is the same: a catalog of hundreds of SKUs is not a design problem, it is an information architecture problem. Solve the specification layer first, and the design has something to stand on.
